This apple tree is an abundant producer, so you’ll always have crisp, juicy apples on hand for a refreshing healthy snack. And instead of planting three different types of trees, you get all these varieties from one. Plus, the 3-in-1 is self-fertile and reaches a manageable mature height – that means tight landscape spaces are no problem.

While we can’t guarantee the Apple varieties you’ll get on this tree, you will get three varieties of delicious, home-grown fruit to enjoy for years to come!

Our 3-in-1 Apples are better because they’ve got a proven history of performance. Each type of apple is carefully grafted on to a mature and healthy rootstock by hand, with measures to ensure that the grafts don’t fail. As a result, these trees are pest and disease resistant. They’re also drought tolerant and heat resistant, so they don’t require constant care or hassle.

We’ve done the extra work at our nursery to ensure these benefits and more.

Experience the amazing growth, flavor and ease of our 3-in-1 Apple for yourself. There’s nothing like getting a variety of incredible tastes in one package.

How to Grow and Care for 3-in-1 Apple Surprise Tree

[plant_requirements]

Sun exposure

Surprise Apples thrive in full sun, so make sure you plant in a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.

Fertilizing

Follow label instructions on an apple-specific fertilizer, usually applying several times from April until August.

Planting

Full sun and well-drained soil are ideal for your 3-in-1 Apple Surprise Tree. Any area that receives around 6 hours of sunlight per day is perfect. Once you’ve found your location, dig a hole that’s twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Then, place your tree, back fill the soil and tamp down to avoid air pockets. Finally, mulch the area and water to settle the roots.

*Tip: Make sure your mulch is not touching the base of the trunk.

Watering

Your 3-in-1 Apple Tree will benefit from a regular watering each week. You may need to water more often in times of extreme heat or drought. If you’re not sure when to water, simply check the soil about 2 or 3 inches down. If it’s dry in this area, it’s time to water.

Pruning

Once your Apple Surprise Tree has become established and is starting to bear fruit, it will need some periodic, moderate pruning. During dormancy, remove any vigorous, upright stems and weak, damaged or dead branches.
