Acer platanoides Crimson Sentry
Crimson Sentry Norway Maple is an excellent specimen for small gardens due to its erect growth.
It bears bright red leaves in spring, darkening to purple in summer and in autumn it will be a spectacular sight with its red-purple leaves turning red, brown and orange enhancing your complete garden.
This deciduous tree will grow in almost any type of soil. Annual rate of growth is 30-45 cm.

How to take care of Crimson Sentry
Water well upon receipt of the tree. It requires full sun or light shade and will grow on most soil types, with the exception of overly acidic sandy soils. This is a very hardy tree that will tolerate a lot of wind.
Prepare planting site with 50% potting compost and 50% top soil plant the tree so that the root ball is just below the surface and water well for the next few weeks.
Apply a top dressing of organic fertiliser during early spring but not at the time of planting wait for about 6 weeks before applying fertiliser for the first time.
Give the young trees support by means of a cane. Never let the roots dry out. Grows up to 5 metres.
