Autumn Bliss Raspberry Plants (Rubus ‘Autumn Bliss’)
Autumn Bliss Raspberry Plants
Blackberries, raspberries and their kin are always thought of as summer fruits. They bring their chin-dripping goodness to 4th of July celebrations and summer sorbets and they only fruit for a few weeks. But, come the chill of autumn, they are long gone. Not anymore! Autumn Bliss raspberry delivers its juicy sweetness from August till the first frost.
Autumn Bliss is a popular modern raspberry with stout canes that are shorter than average. This means, though, that they don’t need a trellis or support. Talk about easy care! The fruit comes on canes that grow the same year, so every winter, cut Autumn Bliss back to ground level and watch as it shoots up year after year.
This variety is very prolific. It is disease and aphid resistant. It produces large deeply flavored berries over a long season that starts in August and runs unabashedly until the first frosts. Autumn Bliss has received the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from The Royal Horticultural Society in the UK, which only goes to show how great this plant will be in your own garden.
Add a few of the autumn producing vines in with your summer producers for months of delicious berries in your own backyard!
