With improved resistance to diseases and black spot, this Rose is also very hardy in heat and chill throughout USDA growing zones 5 – 9!

Planting and Application:

These upright bushes can be used in sunny spots throughout your yard. Beverly’s™ blooms are a lovely, soft color that is so easy to live with. Add several to your landscape for a lush appearance all season. That way, you’ll have plenty of beautifully high-pointed buds to snip for bouquets that slowly swirl open indoors to delight you and your guests.

Imagine the welcome drama with a Beverly™ Eleganza® Hybrid Tea Rose hedge planted on the sunny side of a long row of dark-foliage Ninebark. Line them up into a showy hedge to define your garden design. Use outside a white picket fence, or as a feature in a mixed shrub border. You would gain an easy-care, pink-flowering showpiece from spring through fall, along with a pretty boost of privacy screening!

Butterflies appreciate the long-lasting waves of flowers, too. Make space in your Butterfly Garden for their refined shape; they mix well with more casual natives like Coneflower and Rudbeckia. Include in cut flower gardens with your favorite other blooms like Daisy’s and Allium, or dress up a cottage border with Veronica and Yarrow. Add height to a formal garden planting or obelisk by planting Roses and Clematis together for a unique and colorful pairing!

Garden designers are using more flowering plants in foundation plantings, as well. Revamp the look with Beverly™ planted in an expanded mulched bed near your front door. Go big and make a berm in your front yard to showcase her all growing season long! Go ahead and sacrifice a little lawn. The rich pink blossoms truly “pop” against mature evergreens.

Make your guests happy with Beverly™ planted in high-profile areas, including entrances and seating areas. They’ll “ooh” and “ahh” over the unforgettable fragrance, and you will too!

Grow your Beverly™ in large exterior containers on a rented balcony or porch. Give her plenty of good air circulation, and allow several feet of walking space to avoid snagged clothes. Even balcony and container gardeners with no yard at all can enjoy these flirty, fragrant Hybrid Teas!

Tips for Care:

Improved disease-resistance versus black spot, this Hybrid Tea Roses need full sun, so provide at least six hours of sunlight a day, favoring the morning sun if you have it! Ensuring the soil is enriched and well-drained to enjoy the best performance and good air circulation is important. If you have heavy, wet soil, simply add additional soil to create an elevated planting mound.

Water new plants regularly so they do not dry out between waterings. Our growers recommend that you use drip irrigation, rather than “overhead” watering with sprinklers, if possible. This tip is also a helpful trick to save time with container gardens. Use mulch to help keep the roots moist and keep the ground near your Roses hydrated on a regular schedule once established to support the blooms, avoiding splashing the foliage.

Feed with an organic, granular, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer; following application rates on the label. Vigilantly avoid nitrogen-rich lawn fertilizer near your flowering Roses!

In the fall, rake, and bag any fallen leaf litter to place in the yard waste. Prune Hybrid Tea Roses in early spring, removing any broken branches. Trim it down by shortening up the canes to 6-8 inches, cutting at a 45-degree angle just above a bud. Thin out the thickest canes down to ground level. This will leave younger, thinner canes to flourish and produce the healthiest blooms.
