Bollywood® dazzles all growing season with truly unique variegated green and white foliage! We’re sure Grandma’s Azaleas can’t do that! The Bollywood® Azalea is a hardy, compact, semi-evergreen that provides season-long color and attracts many butterflies and Hummingbirds to its spring display, and we’re sure the neighbors will be drawn to this unique small-space shrub too!
Small, easy-to-grow, and compact, this dwarf Azalea more than makes up for its stature with sheer eye-popping color! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 5 to 9, there is little that bothers this ornamental shrub! In warmer climates, Bollywood® is a bit more evergreen, and in cold winters can act like a deciduous Azalea, so be ready for some nice fall color when the leaves do drop!
Fantastic specimens and accents, use this snazzy and colorful little plant in any sized garden or container garden in the sun! Ideal as a bright and unexpected pop of color among the fronts of mixed borders, and as an accent plant to a perennial or cottage garden. Tolerating full sun and partial shade, both wilderness plantings and modern seating areas around the pool get a vibrant little addition that only grows up to 2 feet tall and just a bit wider!
Azaleas are perfect for porches and patios, pollinator gardens, and vibrant spring color! This little dwarf variety is adaptable to urban conditions and modern courtyards and pocket gardens! Add curb appeal to front porches in upscale pots, go informal in whiskey barrel mixed plantings, or double down on the color and pot up in glazed clay multi-color Talavera planters! You’ll draw admirers and pollinators galore anyway you employ this dazzling Azalea into your landscape!
Rhododendrons and Azaleas don’t ask for much, just full sun to partial shade locations that are enriched and moist. Good drainage and a slightly acidic site are essential for this plant, but water regularly, especially when newly planted. Azaleas have shallow root systems and appreciate being planted slightly higher than the surrounding soil with a 3-4 inch layer of mulch over their surface to protect the roots and retain moisture.
This Azalea needs little pruning but may be trimmed after flowering. It is best to apply a controlled-release fertilizer in early spring. In the southern areas, choose a location with some shade in the afternoons, and in northern climates, Bollywood® may need some winter protection from cold pockets and drying northern winds.
This unique Azalea packs a huge punch of color and lots of pizzazz that will brighten your garden!
