Turn your landscape into the setting for a stylish Fairy Tale with the epic blooms of Boulevard® Tranquilité™ Clematis (Clematis ‘Evipo111’). These petite bushy vines are just the right size to make a big impression in a small space garden.
You’ll never sleep through their beauty when the moon is full. Big, blue-lavender blooms are toned pale with an icy touch.
Let them capture your imagination and the moonlight! The fancy ruffled sepals feature a broad white center bar and a perfect point at the tip.
Clematis is a long-lived flowering plant when given ideal planting conditions and care. The subtle coloration of this gorgeous variety is easy to live with!
Use Tranquilité Clematis by itself to create an incredible privacy screen for a balcony. Or, layer in accent colors, contrasting textures and the fragrance of Climbing Roses. Roses and Clematis mingle beautifully together!
Let your hair down, Rapunzel. Live an enchanted lifestyle ornamented by repeat blooms for most of the growing season.
Today’s gardener is rediscovering the geometric joy of Clematis flowers. And while they may appear delicate, these plants are actually as tough as trolls.
Even the purple-tipped fringy crown of stamens accenting the center of each blossom looks fit for Cinderella’s glass slipper. Create a peaceful kingdom for you, your family and your friends with their support.
Weave many pretty tales by keeping them as a climber. Cover a trellis with coated landscape wire or wide-mesh netting to start them on their upward journey.
Let them become the Belle of the balcony in an outdoor container. Tranquilité makes a charming “Thriller”, but looks amazing “Spilling” down from the edge of your planters, too.
You won’t just enjoy the blooms. Take your place to play the part in an age-old story with these nectar-rich resources for butterflies.
As a perennial vine, you’ll be delighted year after year as the blooms start, and keep on coming. Live happily ever after with your Tranquilité Clematis.
How to Use Boulevard® Tranquilité™ Clematis in the Landscape
Dress her up or down. Indulge your creativity with Tranquilité playing at the feet of a special statue of Thumbelina…or march a playful cluster of Gnomes nearby.
Drape them on either side of a garden fountain. Or, add mesh netting to decorate the frame of an outdoor mirror on a wall.
Beautify the look of a beastly chain link fence. Plant a series of them two feet apart on center, and let them put a fortunate spell on your neighbor.
Enjoy a creative meal al fresco under the stars with your loved ones. Cover trellis to create the walls of a fetching outdoor dining room.
A single Boulevard® Tranquilité can become a cherished focal point in a Meditation Garden and simply glows in a Moon Garden. Grow in a pot, or let it climb up and over mature evergreens without fear of damage.
And of course…Tranquilité makes an excellent gift plant. Help boost your friend’s spirits with one in a bright yellow planter pot.
The sophisticated colorway works with nearly any partner. They look equally at ease in accent pots of somber slate gray or effervescent, unforgettable cerise pink.
Tips for Care
Provide a planting site where the foliage receives full sun, but the roots are shaded, and afternoon shade is recommended in Zone 9.
They do require well-drained soil. Drill extra drainage holes in outdoor containers, or plant in a raised bed if the ground sports puddles after a rain.
Please support the tiny feeder roots with a life-long symbiotic partner. Nature Hills Root Booster helps the plant access micronutrients from the soil, and it never “wears out”.
Keep Clematis evenly moist with consistent watering. Use mulch to keep the root system nice and cool, but please pull it back away from the crown.
Pruning group 3 for this Clematis is suggested. In late winter or early spring, trim the old growth back to the bottom 6-12 inches from the ground. Look for live budding stems, and prune directly above that healthy new growth.
