Clematis florida Albe Plena double Green is a magnificent late blooming, double-flowering variety. The rosette-like blooms are a spectacular limy green ageing to creamy white, adding cool tones to the hot summer garden. Blooming from mid summer to late summer/early fall and can reach a height of 2.5 metres; this is the perfect Clematis for just about any setting. Synonym:Clematis florida var. flore-pleno.
This variety belongs to late mixed prune group 2 that needs to be pruned in late winter or early spring and afterits first flush of flowersin summer, this will encourage it to flower again later in summer.

How to take care of Florida Alba Plena
Soak your plants as soon as they arrive. Plant this Clematis so that the crown is level with the surface of the soil, in well drained soil, add a generous amount of grit to the bottom of the hole when planting and make sure that the roots are always shaded.
Grow against a strong trellis or support. This variety belong to pruning group 3 this means it should be pruned hard in late winter or early spring. All shoots can be pruned right back to the previous years wood just above the plants base.
