Dusky Maiden Smoke Tree

Said to be an improvement over Royal Purple. We’re not so sure about that, but its flowers are certainly more colorful, mixing white and purple. The flowers create an amazing fluffy appearance for up to two months. Mature plants look like they are covered in a multi-colored cloud of smoke. Deciduous leaves turn golden yellow, orange and scarlet red in autumn. Tolerant of a wide range of soils, autumn color is richer in acid soils. Zones 6-8.
