This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
- Position: full sun
- Soil: fertile, well-drained soil
- Rate of Growth: average
- Flowering period: June to August
- Hardiness: borderline hardy (may need protection in colder regions)
Lax stems are studded with grey-green foliage, which is virtually smothered by an abundance of yellow-eyed mauve daisies when they appear in summer. A very pretty addition to a patio pot or rockery, it is also useful for adding colour to the front of a sunny border – and it will thrive in a coastal location.
- Garden care: Cut back to ground level in autumn and avoid winter wet.
