The Evercolor® series of sedge grass is known for its quality selection, so the arrival of the Evercolor Everillo Carex (Carex oshimensis ‘Everillo’) should excite those familiar with the brand. Those that have not heard much about Evercolor should read on to understand what the big deal is!
This spectacular sedge grass is new to the game, but it sure does make a loud entrance! This evergreen ground cover sports neon lime green foliage which ark wide around its epicenter, giving a burst of color to any garden lucky to have some.

Tips for Care
The Evercolor Everillo Carex is going to be mighty thirsty when you first transplant this bright grass. Be sure to water regularly while it’s getting established, then you should be able to tone it down to a weekly watering session.
This sedge prefers partial shade to full shade and it can be susceptible to sun damage if left in full sun for long periods of time. If you start to notice signs of damage caused by excessive sun exposure you should consider replanting to more shady spots in your growing area.
The Evercolor Everillo Carex tends to appreciate water more than your average grass, so in an effort to preemptively assist in healthy growth you need to pick the right soil. Moist, well drained soils are the best for a healthy evergreen grass such as this.
This sedge grass should hardly ever require pruning. If pruning is absolutely necessary try to wait until frost season is over to ensure the safety of your plant’s vulnerable grow spots, but bear in mind that this grass takes a lot of time to regrow anything that was previously pruned.
This particular grass is fairly deer and pest resistant, but can still be prone to certain fungal problems. Be sure your growing area is well circulated to prevent these issues from occurring.
