The largest peach on record is a Flamin’ Fury® Peach (Prunus persica ‘PF 24-C Cold Hardy’), weighing in at just under two pounds! One of these massive peaches could almost feed your whole family. But this variety is not just big, it is also delicious, ready to harvest mid-season and one of the most cold-hardy Peaches available!

In mid-spring, you will get a flurry of beautiful fragrant blossoms that invite all kinds of butterflies to your yard, along with bees, hummingbirds and other pollinators! Don’t worry about needing a pollination partner, because they self-pollinate!

With a Flamin’ Fury®, you’ll be gifted with enormous, round fruit, in lovely deep red and golden highlights. A freestone variety with a bold peach flavor, its sweet and juicy flesh resists bruising and stores well, too. You can eat the fruit fresh from the tree, and if you have more than you can use, bake some of the best pies and cobblers your family will ever have.

Planting and Application:

The tree itself is small to medium in size and produces mid-season crops. When it ripens, gather the family and call the neighbors because it might take all of you to haul in the harvest. And when the picking is over, sit down to enjoy some fresh peaches as a peach pie bakes in the oven.

Ornamental all-round trees from their gorgeous blossoms and tropical long leaves, you’ll find a place for one anywhere in your landscape! They’ll certainly boost curb appeal with their spring, summer and fall display! Plant several in a row, groupings or orchard for privacy that feeds you!

Tips for Care:

Most Peach varieties love the sun, so plant it where shade will not be a factor, and make sure that the soil is good loam, moderately moist and well-drained. They are vigorous growers and resistant to bacterial spots. They can produce too much fruit, so thinning may be required a month after the blooms fade. This increases your fruit size too!
