How to take care of Kalmia Latifolia
For best results soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. Kalmia have beautiful flowers that resemble tiny parasols. Their flowers are borne from early to mid summer, although this variety will take some years to flower.
It will thrive in a well-mulched soil that retains some moisture. Kalmia latifolia requires a full sun position. Plant in a spacious hole of 30 x 30 cm filled with the compost. Remove any dead flowers to encourage bushiness.
