How to Use Pugster White® Butterfly Bush in the Landscape

Tips for Care

Buddleia needs at least six hours of daylight for best flowering. They also require well-drained soil that doesn’t stay soggy for long.

When your plants are young—or if you’ll keep them in containers—supply them a regular schedule of supplemental water. Once their root systems are established in your landscape, they’ll become waterwise.

Trim them back in early spring. In Zone 5…cut them to the ground. In all other Zones, cut them to 12 inches tall.

Each year, the lavish white blooms and cool-toned foliage emerges from the roots.
