This stout planter, handmade from galvanised steel, is new to our Dolly range. The shape is a tad more contemporary but the detailing and finish is just the same.
It’s robust as a cattle trough and holds a good amount of planting so you can use it in a variety of ways. A classic ‘pillars, fillers and spillers’ display with tall perennials at the back and trailing plants at the front works well, as do ornamental grasses to provide some light screening. You could also grow a good crop of root veg, herbs or cut-and-come-again salads.
The welded saucer base provides a reservoir of moisture for plants before any excess water runs over the sides. After heavy rain you can carefully tip the planter to empty out some water if needed.
Please note: exact shape and finish may vary. In time the trough will develop some natural discolouration where the pleats meet the integrated saucer base. This is normal ageing and will not compromise the structural integrity in any way.
