Tangerine Skies Arborose Rose
The playful array of Tangerine Skies™ Arborose® Rose (Rosa ‘KORtangenu’) is so striking, it will make you sweat, it will make you smile, and it will blow your mind! This vertically growing, strong, and glowing Climbing Rose stands out and stands up against other varieties! This Rose is anything but ordinary!
Its blooms are a cheerful and beamingly bright orange inspired by a freshly sliced peach or perfectly churned mango sorbet! And they smell just as refreshing! Each petal appears perfectly shaped with a scalpel’s precision, creating a dynamic display of shadows and the slightest hint of a ruffle. This spectacular Climber seemingly changes color in front of your eyes. It goes from a peachy dream to a tangerine daydream as the sun plays on its petals.
The Tangerine Skies™ Arborose® Rose is an exceptional example from the Kordes Arborose line, and this superior Climbing Rose is disease resistant and easy to train! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 5 to 9, it can reach up to 8 feet in height at maturity and spread to around 4 feet in width.
Designed as a fierce and vigorous climber, this soft-caned beauty lights up the landscape and reaches for the sun. Not only does this family of Roses make arbors, trellises, and walls look like they’ve been touched by heaven, but it also produces bountiful blooms for your bouquets and fills your visiting bees and butterflies with abundant nectar.
Use your Tangerine Skies™ Climbing Rose to frame your portico. Add a splash of tangerine to your home’s facade with a trellis – or three! Allow the Tangerine Skies™ Arborose® Rose to do what it does best by growing over your garden arch or arbor and creating shade or screening! Create floral wallpapered outdoor rooms with strategically placed climbing Roses around your seating areas for a delightful retreat!
Rose care starts with proper site selection and good air circulation. The Tangerine Skies™ Rose prefers full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sun a day) and rich, well-drained soil. Water consistently to keep this darling happy and provide a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch to give them a polished look and hold in moisture more evenly! Fertilize 2-3 times a year with Rose food for best results.
How to Train Climbing Roses
Pruning should not be done during the first two years, since Climbing Roses need time to build flowering Rose canes. Prune and shape the flexible canes in early spring.
