Twilight Evening Primrose (Oenothera TWILIGHT ‘Turner01’)

The Twilight Evening Primrose PP17230, ‘ Oenothera speciosa ‘TURNER01’, produces a striking rich purple-bronze coloring in the center of the leaf, particularly on young foliage, making a strong contrast with the large pale pink flowers which appear throughout the summer.

This is a versatile plant for the border of containers. The fragrant flowers are open fan shaped cups, a pale lilac pink shade and with a yellowy green center. The petals have a slightly crumpled, crinkly look.

The flowers appear in early evening and there is little that can compare with it for early evening blooming. To stop straggling prune back hard on occasion. Flowers from early summer to late autumn.
