Dracaena surculosa

  • Position: bright indirect light
  • Soil: good potting compost
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Hardiness: tender (indoors only)
  • Current height: approximately 40cm (+ or – 10% including the pot)
  • Pot covers: choose a 14cm pot cover to give a good fit over the pot.

During the growing season, it is important to water the plant well. However, during the winter months, it is best to reduce watering. For optimal growth, it is recommended to mist the leaves with water to maintain high humidity levels and to prevent dust buildup. It is also important to repot the plant every few years in the spring. In order to prevent damage from the cold, it is advisable to keep the plant in a location where the temperature does not fall below 10°C during the winter months.

Home care

Water well in the growing season, but less so in winter. Misting the leaves with water will help keep the humidity levels high, as well as keeping the leaves dust-free. Repot in spring every couple of years and keep temperatures above 10°C in winter.
