Katsura Trees For Sale

Bold Fall Colors for Street or Shade

Why Katsura Trees?

The Katsura Tree is a gorgeous Asian shade tree that’s easy to grow and tolerant of most soil conditions and environments. From its high-quality autumnal colors to its effortless upkeep, the Katsura is the quintessential plant-and-forget shade tree.

Even better? It’s pollution tolerant, with a shallow root system. That means it’s perfect for lining streets since it filters the air and won’t destroy sidewalks or streets with invasive, deep root systems.

And it gives off a subtle yet enticing aroma. Imagine walking in your yard in fall and noticing an alluring smell of caramelized sugar and cinnamon. As your non-invasive, pest and disease resistant tree grows, it will embody the warm feeling of autumn with its large, colorful leaves and seasonal scent.

For starters, our Katsura Tree grows as a pyramidal shape when young, so it even looks good before it’s established.

And since we’ve planted, grown and shipped it for best results, it’s poised for a long, lush life in your own landscape. When it arrives at your door, it arrives ready-to-grow, with a healthier root system and more developed branching than what’s available at your local nursery or big box store.

This popular tree is a no-brainer for those who want the good looks of fall without the work.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: For your Katsura Tree, select an area with full to partial sun (4 to 8 hours of sunlight) and well-drained soil.

When you’re ready to plant your tree, dig a hole that’s large enough to accommodate your tree’s root ball, place your tree and backfill the surrounding soil. We recommend mulching to conserve moisture, and watering to settle the roots and finish the planting process.

2. Watering: Ensure your water your Katsura Tree regularly, about once or twice weekly, or more in drought conditions. If you’re not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 5 inches down. If the soil is dry here, it’s time to water your tree.
