Designed by Dick Peterson, one of America’s best-known birding experts, this unique design meets the needs of Bluebirds and helps them successfully raise their young. Its steeply pitched roof makes it difficult for predators to use for entrance, its sloping front discourages predators while making it easier for the nestlings to fledge, and its bottom-hinged front panel makes monitoring and cleaning a snap. Though the unique oblong hole is big enough for starlings, the narrow box and small floor discourages them. Made of durable Western Red Cedar, it will last for years. Attach to a post with lag screws, or use our House Hanger Bracket. House is 19-1/4″ long. This design is so successful, it is virtually the only one used in parts of the U.S.
